Confession #329: After my husband chose not to re-enlist, I’m dreading the first formal event where he wears a suit instead of his Dress Blues. I did not marry him because he is a Marine but a large part of me will miss the attention we received and the pride I felt in those days. I’m ashamed of what this says of my character and scared that he will see disappointment in my eyes when I see him in a civilian suit for the first time.
